World Theatre Day 2012

Here at Laura Murray PR, we're pretty unabashed about how much we love the performing arts; the  joy, insight, and multitude of benefits they bestow on our society are immeasurable. It is both an honour and a pleasure to support and further the work of our inspiring artist friends and clients.

In celebration of World Theatre Day 2012, we wanted to give our readers a dramatic and theatrical performance experience, by offering a chance to win a pair of tickets to the Vancouver premiere of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet's decadent full-length ballet, Svengali.

To enter, let us know the name of the first play, musical, or dance production you remember attending via the comments below, on our Facebook page, or by tweeting us (one entry for each).

The winner will receive two tickets to the ballet's April 20 opening night at the Centre in Vancouver for Performing Arts. We'll draw a winner at the end of day.

As for us…

Laura: The Nutcracker by the National Ballet of Canada in Toronto

Brian: The Coronation Voyage by Belfry Theatre in Victoria

Angela: The Phantom of the Opera at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre

UPDATE: Congratulations to our winner, Mark, who entered via Twitter! His first play, like so many of our generation, was Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera!

Svengali runs April 20-22 at The Centre in Vancouver for the Performing Arts.
Tickets at Ticketmaster.ca.
